Now it's just overdone and makes your group name a lot harder to remember

I can accept it if it's the number of members. Altho that means you are likely to pull a Day6 and have 5 members with 6 in the name, which leaves you just looking a bit stupid, so tbh don't do that either.

Here's examples of good numbered names:

2NE1 (punny, me likey)
Twice (I mean it makes no sense, but it works bcs it functions more like a word than a number)
Seventeen (Also makes no sense, but it works for the same reason Twice does)
2AM & 2PM (Just... mirror eachother and shit, makes it easy to remember)

meh numbered names:

Got7, Day6 (amount of members... boring, but not bad)
Up10tion (bordering on bad, but amount of members so meh)

bad numbered names:

NCT 127 (Love you my babes and I love Neo Culture Technology for NCT but.... 127 just makes it a nightmare to remember. 3 random letters followed by 3 random numbers is what smbdy who doesn't know about them will see)
T1419 (The worst of the bunch, absolutely horrible this is like a serial code or smth)
Bae 173 (The bae part is cringy and the numbers part is hard to remember)
B1A4 (Another serial number)

There’s another meaning to the name, but the blood type meaning is the one they’ve always used when asked. South Korea base personalities and other stuff on blood types, so when they debuted with that name I was like oh ok, cool.

Yup, it's true. Samuel, for example, was supposed to be in the lineup, but he left before debut.

My pet peeve is when group names have numbers between other letters and are yet supposed to be pronounced as numbers. Like AB6IX or D1CE. Or was the latter D-Once and not even D-One? WHO KNOWS.

It's 2021 and I still have no clue how to pronounce B1A4.
