The police recently confirmed that the final votes for PRODUCE X 101 were rigged. The cyber investigation team discovered that about 2 or 3 of the X1 members had received votes that were supposed to belong to other eliminated trainees.
Kim Jong Hui, the lawyer who is leading the lawsuit against Mnet and the show, revealed details about their fight for the truth. He claimed that the recent announcement by the police was a win for them but they still have more obstacles to overcome.

"The speculation of X1’s ranking manipulation have become factually clear. The PD has already been booked for obstruction of business.

We were honestly afraid that the police would only announce, ‘Manipulation took place’, and that would be the end of the investigation. As mentioned in our lawsuit, we’re sure that there is a connection between Mnet and the agencies. We look forward to the truth being revealed through the investigations.

It’s clear that the final ranking was switched around, but we believe that a major issue between Mnet and the agencies will be uncovered. Did they push for the members without a beneficial reason or was there a monetary transaction involved?

It’ll be hard to move forward with the investigation since they’re denying it, but the correct ranking will be clearly revealed."

Worst thing is its a no win situation for most of the boys. Once the names go public the group is most likely dead as you know it.
The improper members at least would have to quit to save some face. Also if there was fixing going on it went on every round.

Maybe the 2-3 who got hosed will be the only ones who wind up getting paid.

Its very unlikely Miho and Miyu were going to be in the group from fan vote. If any thing the fix was in for the ep 11 rankings to keep more of the j line after the slaughter of ep 8.

Imagine the parents who spent their days passing flyers to help their children pass to the next round. The pain of seeing your child not make it and never having the chance of making it because of voting manipulation.

i actually find it kind of annoying that the police are getting involved in a trivial matter like this instead of in other things.
especially since this doesn't do anything to help or benefit x1. While I don't think that mnet should get away with rigging votes for their survival shows, this doesn't damage them nearly as much as it damages the boys or previous produce contestants. Plus, it's been fairly obvious since the beginning that there's been some sort of vote manipulation going on.

I feel sad for those who may have been wrongly eliminated, and really bad for those who where let in unjustly. If the ones let in wrongly didnt know the outcome you can see how this can tear into their career. They didn't win the popularity contest they where faulsly let in will follow them though what is left of their career. Even if they continue their career they'll still hear it.

I mean a rigged show shouldn't surprise people any, but to take money and do it is just another level of fed up.

If I remember correctly the police got involved because money was taken. people paid for votes for results that were pretty much already set. that is called scamming.
