hello and welcome to the Red Velvet B-Side Tournament!

rules are as follows:

1. every other day around 12 am kst I will post a new round, each round will last 48h
2. each round will consist of songs from 1 album
3. Perfect Velvet and The Perfect Red Velvet will count as 1 album
4. from The Reve Festival era I will only include Finale
5. you can choose 1 song from a mini album/The Red, 2 songs from a Perfect Velvet/The Perfect Red Velvet, 3 songs from The Reve Festival Finale
6. japanese releases are not included
7. a winning song(s) will advance to the finale
8. should 2 or more songs have the same number of votes they will both advance to the finale
9. in the finale winners of the respective rounds will compete for the Best Red Velvet B-Side title!

My thoughts on the albums so far bc I never heard all the bsides before.

Ice cream cake - the only one I might like is automatic. I’m not even sure I like that. I really only voted it bc I didn’t like the others. Still I added it to my playlist for how, we’ll see if it lasts

the red - only song I liked was day 1. I had heard quite a few of these before, including that one. Day 1 is by far my fav rv bside of the ones I’ve heard. I was liking campfire but got bored before the song ended and I liked the beginning of cool world. Didn’t like the songs overall tho

the velvet - I liked cool, hot, sweet love. It had an almost creepy vibe at parts, I really liked it. First time, I think I might like but it was also kinda boring. Added to my playlist for now, let’s see if it lasts. I think I might like like rose scent, breeze, but I don’t remember what I thought of the end. Still added to my playlist for now. So far only album I possibly like more than one bside

i don’t really like the velvet personally, icc is okay but nothing special, i like about a half of songs on the red, the other half is rather weak

but don’t worry, we have plenty of better albums ahead
