Tbh, voting about problematic idols makes me question some things. Currently, everyone can vote for every problematic idols. So, even if I don’t know a group or the idol in question, even I don’t collect their cards, I can vote. I can vote out cards I have nothing to do with. I can vote out cards someone wants to collect. I can ruin finished sets with my vote. Based on my own judgement of the case - which I know nothing about, because I’m not a fan nor a collector of these cards. I kinda feel it’s not fair with the users who collect these cards. People shouldn’t vote on cards they don’t collect or they are not a fan of the idol. This voting is not fully about if you agree or disagree with what they did morally (because nobody agrees with them), it’s about cards. Also, this voting can be a good chance for users to just vote out idols they don’t like. Like, for example, BTS is not the most loved group here, so it’s a good opportunity to users who dislike BTS and have nothing to do with BTS or their cards to vote Suga out. I don’t assume this will happen, but still.
What I try to say is instead of asking users to skip idols they don’t know enough information about, maybe you could ask users to don’t vote if they don’t collect these cards or if they aren’t a fan. Thank you if you consider this.

The reason we do it as something everyone votes on is because every person who pulls from the Korean deck. If we limited it to people who actively want the set, then that means a lot of people who actively don’t want the card can’t have a say in getting said card. It would also realistically make it more likely that the cards will be voted in to stay if its fans, because while it’s not something that always happens, it’s undeniable that fans are more likely to excuse things that make other people uncomfortable about having the cards. And the idea of being able to trade away said cards is a lot less likely if a lot of the people in the card game don’t want that idol and would have voted to remove them. They could donate, but then that means they did dailies for nothing. And then there are also people who have all the commons, so they’d be stuck with all idols, even if they and others in the game don’t want that card. Those are some of the reasons we made it a free for all vote.

TLDR: Everyone in the game has a chance of pulling every card, so allowing everyone to vote, not just the fans, reflects that. If most people in the game don’t want the cards of the idols in the game, it would be unfair to give them a chance to get the card and either have a to find a trade, which could be hard, or have to donate, which means they don’t receive any daily effectively.

Just wondering how fast these changes will be enacted since most of these cases/controversies are settled but Taeils case is quite recent. Now I don't think there's any need to worry about removing him and suddenly he proves himself innocent quite miraculously.

I however do remember Haras problems with her ex boyfriend painting her as the abuser at first when she was the victim and voting on ongoing cases this quickly will open the door to potentially excluding idols who are being accused of something they actually didn't do.

We had that situation happen with Stray Kids Woojin, what we did there was when it seemed that there was all the expected new updates in the case that could be viewed as helping his case we gave users a chance to revote. Because of that situation we wouldn’t usually put an idol who’s case seems like it could be one way or another until there’s more evidence. Taeils seems different because there doesn’t seem to be a defense, but if it does have a 180 spin like some of the others, when it seems that the new solid information for his defense are released and known, he could have a revote too.

Well, as a non bg stan-i just abstain from voting on bg groups tat I don't feel strongly on.

It's fair to open it up to non followers I think, as vikki explained. Also maybe give an option to users who might want to vote/suggest others who they are uncomfortable with(either thru dm or write in section, maybe for next time). I don't rmbr all the individuals who were included this time but I think 1 or 2 might hv been excluded who might hv been voted on before-i won't name them here but I can dm vikki/cards team if they want my vague recollections.

Because it’s been a while since the last voting for potentially problematic members, we decided to hold a revote for all of them to see if opinions have changed for any of them, plus the addition of NCT Taeil. All idols are listed for the categories that they (loosely) fall under, but specifics of each case are not listed, so if you don’t know enough, either look for other internet sources or skip the idol. Also consider that guilt has not been proven in all the cases. There is no abstain vote this time, but none of the votes are required. Every user gets 1 vote, if you want to change something then revote and let an active cards team member know. If an idol gets more yes votes than no, then their card will be included in the game, whether or not it currently is, and if they get equal votes or more no votes, their card will not be included. If anyone has questions feel feee to let us know

If you have no opinion, skip the idol. The categories are very general, and do not necessarily fully reflect the idols actions. If you aren’t familiar with the idol/actions, either research the actions or skip the idol.
