I don't believe we still do this but you'll get a more concrete answer from my other members who have been active a lot longer than I have @Awards

Sorry I can't give a better answer myself but at least I can tell you I haven't seen nor heard much about this since i've been an awards member so I always assumed it wasn't a thing anymore.

Last time I knew about making badges for Japanese groups, I was told the awards team was discussing about stopping making badges for Japanese groups. It was a time when I offered to op a thread for Neo Japonism badges. I'm still waiting for something to be announced; if it was, it slipped my awareness. Is there a decision made? I'm now more interested than ever on making those badges.

we decided to not do japanese groups for a while. I don’t think we announced that in a thread.
