In the revamp thread, the last 2 posts also mentioned abt re-doing/adding badge options/new designs.

Also, some users are not sure if they voted already.

It’s like how I have mentioned before there was only a preliminary which ended 21th oct and it hasn’t progressed since then. If it’s ok can I take over and be the op for twice badge thread?

Award's said as K/DA is a virtual group, they don't think we'll be getting badges for them.

We should petition lol. However, aespa is technically 50% virtual and people are loving it, maybe now we can be more open to K/DA. They are officially K-pop after all.

Honestly you're fully free to open a petition if you wanted to lmao, I can't promise it will change our decision at the moment but seeing what other people say/seeing how much it actually is in demand could be useful. But then even if we do eventually allow K/DA i'm still not sure we'll allow the Aespa avatars cuz it depends how much SM actually uses them, unlike K/DA the avatars aren't like seperate members, they're just avatar versions of the members and we don't need two badges for each member. Also allowing K/DA would also mean considering things like Vocaloid as well along when we get to the J-Pop side of things. I'm sure a lot of users will show interest if we add these kinds of badges but our personal vision for the badges is to keep it streamlined to actual K-Pop groups (and some J-Pop or C-Pop for groups in popular demand) and although K/DA is technically a real group in a sense, it's also very heavily blurring the line so it's safer to stay on the side of real life tangible artists only for now and then reconsider K/DA if virtual groups start to solidify themselves more into the music industry.

And as for the petition, I was honestly just joking lol. Awards had made their decision as to why K/DA couldn't have badges and I accepted...

However, as KS is always open to implement ideas of what is in demand and liked by users, I guess I could make a thread/poll to see what people think and tag the GG user group. Not sure who else who to tag though. Maybe if it seems like demand is there, you could really look into it and change your minds? @Awards @Awards Lead

I'll make the thread tomorrow, and I honestly have a great idea of how I can put my view across as to why I think K/DA deserves badges. Hopefully it will help the awards team understand the reasoning behind my view on K/DA's worth as a unique K-pop group. :)

LOL I know u were joking too but honestly I always want to encourage people to share their views with us, especially since it's only really me and @karina at the moment it would be nice to hear the views of other people, not just on K/DA badges but anything really~ Whether we decide to go ahead with people's suggestions and ideas or not, every little thing does get considered and is helpful to us
