Ok so like here is my thing. I think I could've really liked this comeback if they had completely destroyed the chorus and got rid of the beat drop. I seriously despise the chorus of this song because the verses and the one verse within the beat drop and at the end of the beat drops that aren't "Fly like a butterfly" is the BEST part of the chorus. But I seriously hate the stylization of the chorus. The oddly high, squeaky, and aggravating " Fly like a butterfly" and the "wings wings wings" parts make me want to fucking DIE. I HATE THEM SO FUCKING MUCH.

The beat drop seems so out of place. I seriously would've ADORED if this song had some real vocally powerful moments within the chorus but they went with high pitched short vocals and a beat drop instead...IT INFURIATES ME. Despite constantly referring to myself as a ballad or slow song hater I can vibe with a good R&B track with good vocals and a nice harmonization on the chorus with a vocal stand out and everything being cohesive.

If I listened to it on repeat I MAY get into it but then I'll step away from it for like a month or weeks and comeback to hear it again and HATE IT AGAIN. I can't stand it.

So this song isn't bad it is more my style than most guy group songs because I like more upbeat and happy guy group songs in comparison to the constant sexy "I'm a bad ass boy now look at my eye smile bish" style. I will say I like the overall composition of it with the funkier styling and chorus. Like it makes me smile and want to get up and dance and have a good time. But will I remember it in like an hour or even thirty minutes? Most likely not and that is the main issue for this-not a bad song but very easily forgettable.

Favorite and Hi High were also very tame, GP friendly songs. I think they started with those to find some cohesion between all the sub units

So like lets first start with how much I dislike the original of this-yeah I found it annoyingly catchy at best and trash at worst. I can't believe for a second I had it on some of my playlists. But also my taste fluctuates a lot so like NO SURPRISE THERE anyways while I love Red Velvet they make the song worse than it already was...like their vocals are so soft and weak in comparison the Ellie Goulding's vocals and their part doesn't even sound like the same song so it doesn't work and they didn't mix it well if you ask me-like at all. Nice attempt at a western collaboration but it failed if you ask me.

It seriously sounds like a fan edit rather than a legitimate release? If anyone needs proof that Kpop and Western pop are different this is a pretty solid example of what I mean because what the fuck??

Yeah but it took some time but I doubt I'll ever like Butterfly or songs like it.

So I tend to listen to albums or B-sides because I try to be as thorough as I can be for my top 100 lists. So I have listened to these songs and believe it or not the song I liked was Where You At.

I remember listening to both these songs and not liking them or forgetting them pretty quickly after hearing them. Even now listening to them again I don't remember them even though I know I listened to them but I remember getting bored of them pretty quickly. Like the songs really aren't that memorable or good in my opinion. They are pretty meh?

Hopefully...I prefer the titles for OEC and some of their B-sides too. I also liked Stylish.
