It could be that they are lying to keep yg out of this, but if not.. it is sounding even more worrying (and umm doesn't it kinda break his contract with yge?), since if so it probably was emotional response and perhaps desperate one which does not indicate well about his mental state.

Idk if I'm buying the statement saying he didn't discuss this with YG tbh, but we'll see. Idk how long his contract runs and other details. It's not like YG's terminated his contract.

A lot of VIPs on twitter are saying Seungri is a pretty emotional dude so it's completely plausible that he just made the decision in the spur of the moment without consulting anyone. Oh yeah and there's the breach of contract to think about. Sigh I really hope this is YG's way of protecting themselves otherwise this will do Seungri more harm than good.

This is Seungri.
At this point, I think it would be best if I retire from the entertainment industry. I decided on retiring from the entertainment industry as the issues that I caused a societal disturbance with are too major. Regarding the issues that are being investigated, I will be investigated diligently and reveal all the suspicions.
Receiving criticism and hate from the public for the past month and a half and with the situation of all the investigative agencies in the country currently investigating me, I am even being cornered as a traitor of the nation. I personally cannot tolerate causing harm to everyone around me in order to save myself.
I sincerely thank all of the fans in and outside of Korea who have given me lots of love for the past 10 years, and I think this is where I stop even if it’s at least [to protect] the honor of YG and BIGBANG.
Again, I am sorry and apologize once again.

I'm not sure if I would describe him emotional, i think he's impulsive for sure, grasps opportunities he gets, always multiple things going on with him.. but rather than emotional i'd say he's emotionally pretty resilient, shows himself being unfaced by criticism and doesn't let it get under his skin, has unwavering confidence in himself even when nobody else believes in him, he believes in himself. That's how i would decribe him at least. So personally in terms of his mental side I initially wasn't that worried since I think he's mentally one of strongest members of BB so I wasn't worried similarly as with T.O.P and Daesung.

At this point I'm starting to wonder if his IG just got hacked or sth. Wouldn't be first time that happened to idol. I have no idea how plausible that theory would be, but this all is weird and bit hard to comprehend ^^;

Hmm I guess they meant impulsive then. These Twitter stans are like 4 so I doubt their vocabulary has advanced much anyway. Tbh I don't know what to feel about Seungri anymore. I mean I never had a problem with him because he was one of Jessica's best friends xD. I just hope this mess gets sorted and at least SOME justice is served, whoever the party is.
