I felt like she personally got tired of traine life and left while sm wanted her
compared to literally everyone in debut teams who got cut, she’s the only one iirc to not frequent dance studios/or post a lot of singing videos
she’s young too, and easily had the biggest fanbase (literally trended on weibo for no reason after two years of inactivity), and sm invested a lot more in her, makes little sense imo for sm to have cut her since her image wouldn’t even clash with what they were going for with aespa

Vaccine distribution won’t get things back to normal until maybe this summer or fall at the earliest. And that’s mainly in high and middle income countries who had first dibs on the vaccine or made their own who can then perform a proper rollout.

SM couldn’t hold out until some unknown time. Besides the only thing aespa can’t do is in person showcase tours and festivals, which mainly affect Korean fans. Everyone else mainly experiences Kpop online besides certain events or tours. I think aespa can easily pull a online fan meeting or virtual showcase tour.

It would have been better if they debuted a bit earlier during june/July or in 2021. The timing was weird. I do think if the irene incident didn't happen they would have debuted later.

it was in the making for years. no matter the circumstances the public (and international sm fans) were looking forward to the next gg debuting for years. I peer think it was about time that the girls are seeing the light and are able to perform
