i mean yes and im not saying its wrong to stream so your artist achieves new feats, but dont be so invested in it that you hate on other people for no reason

I hate it when fans put themselves on a pedestal and call themselves better fans or belittle others. How do they think (in this case) the BTS members would see them? I’d bet the answer would be embarrassment.

this is the problem with streaming culture in general, like when i got into kpop i was really surprised to find out the amount of views doesn't really mean how popular the song is among people just how much their fans are repeatedly watching the video. i really hope these people grow out of it eventually because i doubt BTS or any artist would agree with such behaviour

Like even if you are streaming who's to say you're streaming the mv after the first 3 listens. I live for lyric vids and line distributions. And I have groups that I love as we all do, but I'm not spending 12-18 hours of my day listening to kpop let alone just one group. Next thing you know these fans will be demanding someone's last fm metrics to see if they have listened to BTS 130 times per day.

kpop was so much better when people didnt pressure each other into streaming and voting. 2nd gen kpop was truly the It Child. we will never return that golden era ever again i fear

But seriously these sound like some economically and able privileged sons of bitches. Borrowing Devices to stream? ability to stream with covid? My 65+ mother had covid six months ago and she could barely move. I had Pneumonia two years ago that lasted for two months because of improper medical care. For me streaming was limited. and if my utilities got shut off K-pop would not be the first or even the tenth thing that I would be worrying about. Some people have 2 jobs to just pay rent. Having obligations or situations that vastly limit one's ability to stream en mass shouldn't make someone a lesser fan.

Haven't they ever learned the "quality over quantity" thing before??? Because NEWS FLASH: it's NOT about the streaming numbers! It's the quality of the music that matters most. Nobody could POSSIBLY have enough time to be streaming "Butter" and "Yet to Come" all day, every day. What tf do they think we are, robots???
