it's not always that you will be attracted to the visual member.

in Itzy i admit Yuna and ryujin look best but I find yeji most attractive.

in Exo Baekhyun, Chanyeol >>>> Sehun.

in bts the visual is jin but imo v and Jimin are hotter than him.

in Got7 is Mark which idgi JJproject look way better.

in nct i admit Taeyong is the best looking but I find Jaehyun and jungwoo more attractive.

in Shinee Minho is listed the visual but honestly I fine him the least attractive member.

Irene looks best in RV but Seulgi is more my type.

it's all up to the preference and I feel like the visual position is slowly losing its importance in kpop. even kpop companies do not list a visual member anymore.

visual position has always been useless to me tbh, especially when all the members are attractive.

I've found that the visual members are rarely ever the most popular nowadays even though they're supposed to be the face of the group.

I feel like the visual position only exists to keep the standards there and profit it from them lol. Like launch makeup with a popular company and have a visual promote towards Koreans to fit the standards and look like them. I’m not really sure how to put it into words


A lot of visual members are my favorites in groups, but that’s mainly because I relate to them a lot more. Irene is my favorite member but I personally find Wendy more attractive. Same with Tzuyu, I find Nayeon and Momo more attractive but I relate more to Tzuyu lol

I noticed most ifans find Yeji more attractive than the visual members of ITZY. Anyway as someone who has standards close to Korean beauty standards I completely understand why visuals are usually the most popular. And yea, they still matter imo. A new example of a visual who got popular would be April's Naeun, and that happened when her group didn't have any spotlight.

Back in 2012 Eunji was the most popular Apink member but guess what? Apink's Naeun completely took her place. The DIA members either left the group or haven't paid their debt while Chaeyeon survived. While AOA doesn't release more hits or sell decently Seolhyun maintains her wealth, in meanwhile Hyorin who was popular for other reasons than visuals disappeared.

Not saying you can't be popular without being Korean type of pretty, for example Hwasa managed to do that. But visuals do it more easily imo. And Korean style visuals always naturally attract my eyes so I understand why.

visual or face of the group are just there cause those are typically the ones really promiting the most at the end.
visuals are also usually the ones that fit the most the korean beauty standard.
I personally could care less since I am always someone who thinks personality is more important and that doesn't care about visuals.

I think the visual position is slowly fading away because companies are creating visual groups instead of having just one member. I'm not saying this applies to every group rn but it'll be the trend from 4th gen onwards.

The visual fits the Korean standards the best but it’s not like there can be more than one visual by group. I sometimes find the visual more attractive than the rest of the group and sometimes not. I don’t really care about this position anyways, I am all about stanning vocalists.

I don't think most groups nowadays are visual groups either. If you be objective for example Twice is usually a group that most netizens call them a flower garden or visual group, back when cute concept was the trend, I thought a lot of new groups were visuals as a whole. Then after the girl crush thing became the trend, the message that this sort of groups want to give people is different. So they don't need to fit the standards.

Don't wanna sound rude but if you look at members of certain new groups like (G)-idle or itzy, it's quite obvious that the agency's aim wasn't just debuting visuals. And some of their members receive mixed opinion or even hate from K-netz because of their looks, while the one who fits their standards gets praised.
