Youth matters a lot for girl groups vs boy groups, especially since Sexy caters more to men, they'll easily trade a group for something newer and younger.
EXID, Girl's Day and AOA were all top groups with known It Girls, all had about a 3 year reign and then sharp decline

I mean..... with EXO it tends to be dark AND sexy! Although I wouldn't really call Love Shot a dark concept.... And some of their B-sides are sexy and not dark as well....

Loved the concepts, just the songs themselves were missing smth for me... Also I wouldn't really call naughty a sexy concept...

Red velvet's velvet side overall imo is the closest we've got to a sexy concept in recent years.
