A friend of mine once said that Le Sserafim's Fearless feels like it would be in an ad for like deodorant
I have never been able to get that out of my mind since
It has effectively ruined the song

I mean being an ad song ... Why is it bad? Usually the really catchy songs get to be chosen for ads , ex. walkin on Sunshine etc.

I dunno, the commercial and ad sound never appealed to me at all
It kind of pulls me out of the illusion so to say and brings me back to the capitalist reality lmao

It didn’t really ruin a song and it’s not kpop but I completely did not understand this song


so this was playing on the radio when I was in the car with my mom, much older cousins, and brother

and I was like “awww this is such a sweet song” bc I LEGITIMATELY thought that it was about a mom and her son and she doesn’t mind taking care of him and cooking and cleaning and she just wanted him to be not embarrassed of her and call her mom

but then my cousin said “that’s not what it means when a man calls a woman mama”

this was years ago but I swear I did not understand at all I was way too innocent

after she said that I didn’t immediately know what the mama meant ofc since she didn’t explain (and ofc she wouldn’t there with my mom and brother in the car) but in scooby doo 2 Velma asked her date “who’s your mama” so I figured it was like that

for reference I was 14 and this cousin was 21
