We borrow a lot of slang from the english.

So after a good look down yonder.
I can see most of these happening.

My grandmother is/was from Birmingham so I understand where it comes from with me, but I think a lot of Americans [since there are a fair share of KS] do carry some form of anglo influence. Plus a lot of Americans tend to be obsessed with the Royal Family for some reason.

These are all so true. But why do we use so many of these instead of just saying flat out what we mean?
Direct conflict in public = Making a scene. Plus if we say what we mean it becomes I don't know tacky after a while. Like when I was at T-Mobile earlier today at there was like 2 people working and it took almost 25 minutes for me to get seen and the woman in front of me said "I'm sorry for the hold up..." And I was like "It's fine.." It actually wasn't it was annoying, but I wasn't going to say: "This is irritating. I've been here for 30 minutes... but It's not your fault, but I'm still pissed off..." In those instances a "It's fine" is better than saying what you mean. lol

But its like the "do you need anything"... Its a vain gesture that both parties know is just for good manners and means nothing. If the other person says "Yes. Could you go to the store and pick me up a 12 pack of Pepsi..." it would likely piss the first person off.

I'm not British, and I can't relate much with the vast majority of all this. What's usual for me is; if I can't be honest because it'll be too offensive, I won't say anything. Not that I'm always like that.

TLDR: I know the first few phrases tat i read, but the implied meanings in the OP seems specifically British or just idiosyncratically so. Mostly i dont use or encounter anyone using the phrases with this hidden meanings. Maybe if my peeps were more sarcastic/ironically minded or part of generation MZ(watever tat is).:Sunwoo wtf why::yedone::lazypotato::dab:
