It's crazy to think they were named Girls' Generation before debut by an SM employee.
I remember a member saying this in a variety show. I don't know if the same member or others went into further details in other variety shows, though.
So, one of them said, "Someone told us we were going to be called Girls' Generation and left the room [ or company ]."

And I loved that they did a cover version of Lee SeungChul's in one of their albums.
Then, some years later, they performed together at a concert.

And GG's variety show chaotic energy was always a blast to watch!
