I think there is a lot of grass is greener in this thread.
sappy did not nor would it have sold as well as did rbb.
OOTN or the velvet sold better than any jpop rv song or album heck it out sell both of them combined.
Every kpop album the same year sold better than the jpop album for snsd except the first album.

Anyway agreed with Memoria > Sunny Summer. I'll be brave and say Memoria > TFTMN though I LOVE BOTH songs so much.

Also, Flower > Fever for me rn, fite me
Sunrise is superior to both though, but again Memoria > TFTMN > Sunrise for me by the narrowest of margins.

The Japanese albums were more western in that they did have the singles in them (plus j versions of the k hits.) Let it rain ect, but the titles themselves were inferior to the k titles.
Did not sell near as well anywhere japan, the world , korea..... They were just different stylistically.
Mr Taxi ie the first album is actually the outlier with how well it sold.
