My grandad’s second wife (not my grandma) and him used to take us camping when we were all kids. The next morning, his wife would make us breakfast, which was all bran, raisins, and then tinned segments of grapefruit (syrup and all) just plopped on top. We weren’t allowed to go out and play with the other kids til we’d finished the bowl, and we hated it. That was over 20yrs ago and the sight of grapefruit still freaks the hell of us all out. It was traumatic.
