Nah I agree, it doesn’t really feel like Kpop except Lisa’s bars that remind us that it’s a Blackpink song lol. However Lisa rap lyrics are usually not my favorite parts of a BP song lol.

Well i don't follow american pop since i'm into kpop, i assumed this song follows the trends of american pop music, but since @Hally says this is not that, i guess the girls and selena are trying out a new thing with this song, i guess its a mix of ideas between teddy and the american songwriters.

Yeah same I have no idea about current American trenda lol except Cardi B WAP I guess which I checked out of curiosity lol.
That’s why I’m conflicted. It doesn’t feel like a normal Kpop or Teddy song, and I had gotten tired of Teddy drops recently so that should be good news. But I personally felt the melody here didn’t really go anywhere and pretty much stayed at the same place so I didn’t really love it either. It’s just a weird song for me all around

Well they kept their word on full album & the 2 singles, so we'll have to see if that is happening, if they don't i think the rose bars in china will abandon or close down.

I do prefer the Ice Cream chorus over HYLT although I think HYLT verses had a better sense of build and direction and the Rosé prechorus was much better.

Yeah that’s my issue too lol, the lows definitely aren’t as low but there are no memorable highs either so it becomes like background sound for me and I tune out
