I'm just so sad for all of them, I can't imagine how much they must be hurting right now especially Lisa! Imagine being all alone in a foreign country and trusting a friend with your hard earned money just for them to blow it all on gambling! Yeah it will hurt even more because by all accounts, it was someone really close to Lisa and Blackpink. That betrayal must sting. I hope she gets the justice she deserves but the loss of that relationship/bond will take time to get over.

This is apparently quite fresh story, but all over kpop newssites. YG has confirmed that its true that manager (now ex-manager) of YGE scammed Lisa. The amount of money was 1 billion won (816k $) so quite huge lump of money.

The manager had been Blackpink's manager since their debut and was a person who both Lisa and the company trusted a lot. He had promised to look into investing into real estate market for Lisa. According insider info the manager ended up gambling the money instead of investing it as promised.

YGE released following statement of the situation:

"After looking into the matter, we confirmed that Lisa was a victim of fraud by former manager “A.”

According to Lisa’s wishes to settle this amicably, as the former manager was someone Lisa had trusted, Manager “A” has reimbursed a part of the sum and has left the company after agreeing on a reimbursement plan for the rest of the sum.

We bow our heads and apologize for causing concern to the fans who love our artist.

We are embarrassed by the misconduct of “A,” and we are feeling responsible for the management and supervision. We are taking preventive measures so that this does not happen again.”
