Had a great time . row2 but kinda on the end so the girls' rarely were like right in front of me.

but man, not having been to a concert for 5 years.
Phones have really harmed fan engagement in the shows.
To the point that the artists are coming up with ways to get fans to use their hands for something other than pointing the phones at them.

its like anyone close to the stage is more worried about recording than being in the moment.

the fans still enjoy the show but the vibe of the event is lacking.

Its a double edge sword and kinda weird they go crazy if someone is filimg with a camera but just give up on the phones as a lost cause.
and i know there is value in the fan cams, but that comes at a price.

I can't imagine being that close to the stage and missing your opportunity to really see your faves up close because you're too busy recording a video for the 'gram.

There are studies showing that your memory recall -- particularly including things like how you felt and other senses -- is much better if you put the phone down.

It sounds like you made the most of it though! I hope it was everything you could have hoped for.

Did they sing any of your extra favorite songs?

Yes, and zimzalabn has become a concert monster with a life of its own. just so fun.
