What do you think of ‘Ready For Love’? (1 Viewer)

It’s perhaps a bit under the radar, but the long awaited ‘Ready For Love’ (which we saw them recording back in the Netflix documentary), was recently released through PUBG



Anyway, what do you think of the song?

I absolutely love it. I heard others say it sounds dated, which is fair and I can see what they mean, but from my point of view it is unabashedly Blackpink/Teddy in every way, with a great melody and time for every girl to really shine, (Rosé’s opening lines are just pure honey oozing out of my speakers).

Blinks often talk about Black vs Pink style sounds, but there is an uncelebrated 3rd style, the reggaeton/dancehall sounds of As If It’s Your Last and Forever Young (well, the second half of the song). And this song taps into that 3rd style in my opinion.

i'll be honest and please, nobody come for me, i love bp it sounds like an old 2ne1 song, "forever young" 2.0, and teddy needs to diversify his music or yg needs to hire more than once producer for blackpink's music before i lose my mind, because he seems to be running out of ideas i love the girls so much, they deserve so much better. this is just my opinion, of course, so no hate to those who enjoy the song, and certainly no hate to the girls i just feel a tad bit saddened that this is what we were waiting for so long ...

I don’t think this is even the pre-album comeback, just a spare song they could use to promote alongside PUBG. I wouldn’t worry too much about THIS being what we have waited for. There will be lots more to come (I hope)
