Took some of my family to the fan sign for book 1 but i do not think any of us have read past book 2.

its weird that is his favorite mythology and it was a chore to read. he did mention it was a struggle.

If it was a quiz made by someone who has a real grasp of Greek Mythology you would have gotten Apollo given your intense love of literature.

The world that Rick has created is so minimal... yet he is able to churn out countless books. But what made you stop reading during that era?

If it was a quiz made by someone who has a real grasp of Greek Mythology you would have gotten Apollo given your intense love of literature.

not sure it was just no longer fun .
if i have to force myself to read since i bought it.... that is a sign. Did not really like any of the books in both series despite liking magnus him self.

Indeed.. Since we're on the topic I figured I'd ask. I have heard from a lot of fans that the middle books of WOT are a chore to read through. Do you agree?

8,9 some say 8,9,10

The Perrin story line became painful in some ways.
Then some of the male fans (mainly) really hate the so called wonder twins.. (aka nynaeve / elayne) conversely Nynaeve is my fav non Moiraine female..aka she chose to follow the kids out of responsibility, duty, and love(but ofc she has ISSUES that have issues :) ).
Rand is going thru a dark era. as is Perrin.
lol i am betting the seanchan are one of the problematic things to be cleaned up ....

Each book has really great parts but Jordan's flaw/and strength is description and meetings with many ppl that he feels the need to describe can be challenging. especially since he hides some clues there.
I do find it hard to believe that his beta readers did not warn him.
