Sales What is with SM and Cat sales this year? (mostly rv and nct anyone remember more?) (1 Viewer)

They must have someone new in charge.
look at last week again with the big restocks and they are all snapped up.
This is at least the 3rd or 4th time this year.. for rv at least.
typically they have small catalogue sales since there are none to buy.

i have been seeing a lot of nct old albums thru the months too but ya'll would have to comment on that.

This was last month

the joy album ytd number show what is typical just no inventory.

for reference that the Velvet number is about half of what they had had before ( the red got a push earlier this year.)

this fan made chart is from sept last year.

just going back to June every album and kit album has charted monthly at least once

In the first pic that is weekly sales from this weeks circle /gaon chart. the second set of images is Septembers chart that has sales for the month and / YTD sales this year.

this link should take you to the album portion and you can tab thru weekly monthly mid year and year. each has drop downs so you can see history.

it plays into the narrative that SM stans have been pushing for years that they kill long term sales for all artist by not restocking.

Just to pick a few
BTS
Twice
BP

all have big cat sales numbers just by keeping albums in stock and that just helps with new fans trying to get into the group.

RV and EXO stans have been most on this if i recall correct. Residual sales.
