I usually do it around 1-2 hours before I have to go to work

I don't eat breakfast, but like time to myself in the morning, so... enough time for that and to wash my hair. Conversely if I have a package being delivered, I will likely set my alarm every 30 minutes. Because, well, some services can deliver up to 10PM and I don't want to stay up that long.

edit: also sometimes you just wake up to piss and cannot get back to sleep afterwards.
