My first ever exposure to kpop was when I read a 50 part Jungkook x y/n youtube fanfiction.

The next time I was exposed to kpop was from another blackpink x bts x y/n youtube fanfiction​

I didn't know what the hell was it back then; but I used to post on this coding forum, and a guy there had a sig with a gif of an Asian guy making some kind of dance on a stable. I now know it was Psy on his Gangnam Style MV.

I can remember vividly the first time i ever heard Gangnam style.

I was on YouTube and one of the first recommended videos to me was that Evian water baby roller skating commercial edited to have gangnam style playing over top of it.

My first exposure to K-pop was actually in 2007. I used to go on a forum for fans of this band The Click Five. That was when they had their first world tour, which included Southeast Asia, and there was a whole influx of Asian TC5 fans joining. They were also fans of groups like Super Junior and SHINee, which at the time I just brushed it off because I wasn't the least bit interested. Then, in 2013, people on Twitter started talking about the newly-debuted BTS. Still wasn't interested because I heard ARMYs were antis of One Direction. lol Of course, I softened up in 2017 when I saw a pair of uwu-worthy Namjoon pics on Twitter. So yeah, third time was the charm, I guess. lol
