I agree with your point and also I'd like to add unnecessary dance breaks and beat drops. Also too many high notes...not every song fucking needs them. ALSO just the favoritism in general towards higher vocals <.<

I just thought of this one while talking to @Bopper and it woudl be the over complication of Kpop dances. I get we have a lot of SUPER skilled dancers within Kpop now but it's frustrating to see members dissed so hardcore for not being on par with the main dancers because the choreos CATER to the better dancers.

Because of this, it’s rare we actually see the idols having genuine fun whilst performing. There always now seems to be a need to have a new, unique move to make into a trend on tiktok.

Legit-so MANY iconic Kpop dances were actually super simple moves and they became iconic because ANYONE could do them.

Exactly. I remember as a kid I used to dance to in the playground with my friends to Spice Girls or S Club 7 songs, because we were able to at least try and copy what they did. I doubt 10yr old me nowadays would be able to dance in a playground without dislocating something.

STRAIGHT UP-not to mention I think alot of lives aren't fun to watch because the dances are so complex. Kind of like what you said earlier. I have tried watching ATEEZ's lives before and can't get through them because they are moving so much you can't enjoy their stage presence or their engagment.

Yeah with some choreos I’ve found it’s difficult to track where a member is, and it gets too confusing to the point where you’re not listening anymore. Some companies seem to forget that the dance is supposed to compliment the song, not the other way round.

I've heard the lyrics within KPop usually aren't the best so learning Korean might ruin Kpop for you

like say gfriend mgt , lw .. snsd itnw ect.

Songs that are basically about flexing... Our group is so amazing lets make an entire song about it... Its annoying and gratuitous.. and reminiscent of a lot of Mainstream American Rap that I find reductive.

Not specifically about the song, but I hate in k-pop videos when there is a gangster aesthetic.. Its almost always try hard. Which is why I try to listen to the song first before the mv, so I am not biased against the song because I didn't like the mv.. Some groups, like Twice, this doesn't apply to since they have concepts that I always like, so...

And when there is a fusion of k and english lyrics or other languages that isn't natural. Mamacita doesn't count since its baked into the song, but when its like near the end of a song and isn't integrated well. Where its out of nowhere. And when the english doesn't make sense. Sadly, this does apply to Mamacita: "Just close your lips. Shut your tongue." But I was mainly talking about the chorus earlier. lol
