i rarely swear, unconsciously-i usually only swear deliberately to break out of my comfort zone, but id say sometime in the last month maybe

have you ever watched three kings with george clooney, he said sthg tats stuck with me-nobody ever does anything unselfishly(im paraphrasing), everyone does things in their own self interest (this while in Iraq/middle eastern country during gulf war(90s i think) giving away gold/treasure to locals. His point was he was doing so in his own self interest as he wouldnt be able to live without deep regret if he had done otherwise.

Tat said last thing tat i did tat dint benefit me would be many yrs ago when i was younger walking thru a field/patch of grass going bk home after work-i saw a teenage student running who tripped and fell down. I went over and lifted or carried him to a doctor's clinic nearby, about 50-100m away.i wasnt thinking abt it as iv watched tv saying you shdnt move injured people in case of internal injuries, but i hope it all worked out-i left after leaving the student in the care of the clinic staff/his friends-i had a cell phone at the time so i may hv asked if i shd call the parents but i dont rmbr if i did. I still feel good at how i tried my best to help without hesitation(or thinking if there might be broken leg). I feel im not a terrible person after all by this one incident.

Honestly, same... Especially when a politician wins a race despite the fact that they were too cowardly to engage in a debate. . .

Everything benefits me. even random kindness helps me be be better.

I will concede slightly to your and @LoveYooShaSha point... but most times random acts of kindness benefits the other person more than it does you. Like the time I said I was sorry someone called this guy a drug addict for loitering outside taco bell... Five minutes later he proceeds to ask me for $40 for rent.. I didn't give it to him... but if I did it would likely benefit him (i.e., a month of rent) more than it would me (i.e., having a good feeling). But I guess you could say it was a good thing since he was likely going to put it into his veins anyway. I know that area of town and 95 percent of people that live there are doing drugs.. lol

More tats its so messy n cluttered tat i dont clean it much, just move clutter around or move away n throw everything i cant keep/move to a new place(tats when i rented a room but iv moved bk in to my 'rents hse/apt now.

Watching colbert n jon stewart n john oliver, i hv no mental or physical energy any more to continue rolling my eyes...even tho im not affected directly by the subjects they (mostly) feature. Sometimes last week tonight goes global but idt its ever done anything on local stuff, i could be forgetting sthg tho.

Iv given money out of mistakenly believing sob stories, but not to potential(not tat i knew either retroactively or at the time tho) putting in veins/straight to the liver kinda guys. More like perennial asking strangers for cash. There's a homeless guy outside where i live, actually one outside the hse/apt (1 each) but im not tat selfless tat i give money/shelter or food to 'em. I also think there's self dignity involved to those individuals-im not sure id be doing any favors if i offered anything unsolicited-see above re: self interest. I did offer to buy food to this one able bodied guy who offered to sell me his cheap handphone early on stages of covid lockdown here but he declined the offer of food. I hv no self doubt or second guessing myself about my self interested intent there.

Hv u ever read/known of Hyperion by dan simmons-in tat book/series, the internet is succeeded by the Allsphere/Datasphere which spans all known worlds to man-so being on romulak is no excuse unless yr there after the fall of hyperion, LOL
