I'm honestly so fed up with all the arguments ppl keep providing against Aespa, bcs most of them are so utterly bad!

The AI characters look unrealistic & too perfect and will cause body image issues

1. And normal kpop idols DON'T cause those same things??? If anything the AI characters will be less of a problem in this department since they y'know.... are very obviously not real!
2. They aren't real, so why tf should they look realistic!

The AI characters will be used to make porn videos of the members

Deepfakes already exist, this is already very possible even without AI members

This will make obsessive fans even worse and will make them think they actually own the idols

As long as the AI characters and the "real" members are kept more or less seperate, I don't see how this is a problem. Sure they will have more control so to say over the AI characters, but why would that make them think they own the real members? Even though the AI members are counterparts to the real ones, they are still separate entities.

+ This will make the obsessive fans focus more on the virtual members and not the irl ones, which seems like a win in my book

This makes the real members replaceable and with that worthless

The worst argument I've seen, bcs.... virtual members and.... real members... aren't the same... so how... can they replace each other??????

True. The worst part about this concept is indeed the secondary content people will make, that's for certain.

But as long as SM do their part in protecting their copyright (of the AI images/property) then it shouldn't be too accessible for anyone to accidentally find the secondary content.

Virtual music artists are part of the future of this industry. Some will be more like K/DA, not based on real life people, and others like aespa, whereby they have a real life counterpart. The industry shouldn't shy away from virtual technology/concepts just because of a certain issue, that's admitting defeat before you even give it a try and that's not how business works.

aespa's virtual concept could really take off in many great ways, and just imagine how epic their concerts will be with both real life members and virtual technology etc. SM/aespa could inspire a wave of new virtual groups to arise and I think it's a good thing in the long term.

biased POV here, but when there is nsfw stuff done, I think it would be better if the ai members are visibly different from the girls themselves: at least the girls will get less recognizable nsfw content of their real selves
