Why do you think this trainee didn't make it into NCT? (1 Viewer)

Park Yuri from Produce X said that he was supposed to debut in NCT but didn't make the cut.

He got into the B group so I'd assume he's pretty talented and according to the comments, he's a really good dancer. And he's not bad looking either.

So why do you think he didn't make it? I mean, everyone thought that every male trainees in SM would one way or another end up in NCT but this guy didn't and now he's a model under SM.

I can't see him debuting in 127, he just doesn't really have the 127 feel to him but I think he could have released music under NCT U. And if not, more units are going to debut in the future so I wonder why they consider him for a future unit? I know sometimes companies moves actor trainees and puts them into idol groups but this guy was moved from being an idol trainee and was put into the model department. That's not very common is it?​

they were almost official NCT members but SM make everyone debut and they didn't have a plan to make them in a unit for the moment so they choose to quit NCT lineup to debut faster

Hansol leaving was the saddest thing. He was literally confirmed. I can't believe he just left last minute like that. I'll never get over my dream hyung line-up.
But this guy said that he didn't make the cut not that he left (if the translations are correct). Everyone always assumes that all male trainees in SM will end up being put into NCT but boys are actually being dropped. I'm curious about the future units. There's so many new trainees known so I wonder how many will actually make it.

It might be a difference in the translation since Koreans have some term that you can find in other language like in any other language so they try to translate as they can.
It's something that i notice for example when i watch Grey's anatomy, the sub are in french but i can understand what they say, and what they say and what is translate is totally different, the way the sentence is made is different etc... they only keep the general idea of the sentence, in this situation the fact that he didn't debut with nct

No, they're from his Instagram. @Peach knows more about it than me but basically:

1. He used the N word and when people tried to explain why it was wrong for him to use that word he just blocked them and never apologised.
2. People were posting side by side photos of him and Bobby from iKON and saying they looked alike and he made a bunch of comments saying that Bobby was ugly.
3. There are also former college classmates of his that have said that he's very arrogant and shallow and often judges people on their looks and calls them ugly behind their backs.

I didn’t used to pay attention to rookies for the exact reason that I’d be gutted if they didn’t make it. Then I fell for Hansol because he’s too adorable, and then he didn’t end up debuting, I should’ve stuck to my guns
