Would you let your children [if or when you have kids] drink or consume caffeine (i.e., coffee, choco beans, etc.)? If so what age, do you think, is an appropriate age for someone to begin drinking/consuming caffeine?
I don't plan on having children so this is a non-issue, but... If I did have kids, I would not let them have coffee until mid teens. There are approximately 90 mgs of caffeine per cup of coffee and while Coca Cola/Mountain Dew does contain caffeine it would take 2.5-3 to equal that contained in a single cup. Although, I think there are particular implications for kids drinking soda as well... A lot of kids don't like it because the carbonation makes it feel like its burning their tongue and label it hot.
