If given the opportunity, would you live forever?

And this is assuming that the universe would never end, and you would be able to live like a normal human being (with a constant supply of food and water, shelter, etc.)


Nothing scares me more than death. But honestly, I wouldn't want to. Forever is a long time. Like, an infinite amount of time. At some point it would become so boring to the point of it being a torture that you can never escape. Everyone you know would eventually die while you continue on, which would only make it worse.

Honestly, simply because I'm scared of death (or the things that come after it), I don't want to die. But I also can't imagine living on this Earth forever. I'd rather just live a good and content life and then go when my time comes. No point in extending it. I feel like life would just be empty and meaningless.

If I could stay at my current age forever, then maybe. But I'd still lose so many people dear to me along the way and get lonely so Idk. Forever is a long time.

It looks like we have pretty much the exact same mentality, although I wouldn't mind extending my life a bit (like maybe a decade or two) before going as long as I can still function.

The only thing that scares me is losing those that I love. So it would depend really.... Would those that I love live for a infinity amount of time as well? If that's a yes, then I would want to live forever. However if that's a no, then I wouldn't want to live a life without them.

Sure with a perfect body with perfect health and resources.

Problem is those things are un obtainable baring godhood in some form. To deal with infinity i would need a non mortal mind.
Data accumulation for a 1000 years would likely cap out the brain as we know it.

Sci fi books have dealt with this concept, most of them end up as intergalactic space travelers.
