Well the weird thing about homosexuality with Korea is there really isn't a lot of scandals to show they are against it, there's that one from like 13 years ago but for how often idols show support for it you'd think there would be more. It does seem like the fear of getting hate is at least very real though since I really fail to see what else Yerin could have meant but she was clearly dancing around a direct answer.

That is true.
I think idols will only go as far as to hint that they are LGBT, because like you said, it's the fear of getting hate.
I guess we'll never know unless we have someone who actually comes out in an already popular group.
I'm also wondering if it will be different for a female idol to come out to a male idol.
