Well tbh a new group hitting it big with BP going strong for their remaining three years is YGE's only bet at this point. However if this is a girl group it is a serious mistake.

Firstly they already promised Treasure so what about them..Secondly they killed any hype or goodwill for a girl group after every known and liked trainee from Future 21 left. Thirdly, Blinks will hate this group. The fandom is big and let's be real kind of toxic, their very protective of BP because of YG'a treatment and will hate on any girl group that comes out. With YG burning bridges with other stans of their female acts (BlackJacks, Lee hi fans) and with no popular trainees, no one will be there to really launch this group like Big 3 company stans usually do.

I understand if YG really doesn't want to debut a boy group because of 2019 issues but they really missed their chance in 2018-2019 to use the remaining Future 21 members and popular male idol trainees. They should have debuted Future 21 members perphas in a hip hop/RnB group under The BlackLabel and skipped the tired survival show bs with Mixnine and Treasure and just debuted a new male idol group. Blinks would have been pacified if YGE just gave BlackPink a full album in 2018 and proper comebacks/solos in 2019.
