Haven’t been into work for a week and I feel quite anxious about going back. The thing wish customer service is that people freak me out but I have to do it anyways. And it’s an early morning shift and I’ve been sleeping in till like noon

Your body will get used to waking up early again but it will take some time. Tomorrow try to wake up with positivity in mind to start up the day on the right foot. While getting ready for work, watch a video you like or listen to music. I do it to boost my moral before going to mine and it helps. You got this!

Hey, bringing an idea for this thread. Definitely not stealing it from a mental health thread from another forum or anything.
What do you think we have a Google form so people can send their vents or ask for help anonymously? I think it would be nice since I'm sure not everyone likes to open up on a public forum and some prefer staying lowkey. We would only need one or two person (who are active) to have access to the answers to post them on here for anyone interested to answer them.

It’s possible. I know what forum this idea came from, and I was a former moderator who had to examine the issues this ended up bringing. But we’ll think of ways to post them. It could help.

When things get bad. It’s always best to just take time away from it. Writing about it also helps because sometimes when you write how you’re feeling out. It’ll show you what’s truly on your mind. There’s never enough time to heal. It’s a slow journey, but it’s worth it in the end. Always take time for yourself and realize that sometimes what we think is best for ourselves only hurts us.

Just a rant

I always had a genuine wish of helping people and as a kid I thought that at this age I'd be contributing so much for society and helping so many people but here I am, such a failure
I don't like to be who I am and I wish other person was born with my life, I'm sure any other would do better. My friends are already achieving big things and getting great jobs while for me getting up from bed is already so hard, I don't feel any wish to do it
I have a good health and it makes me feel bad because I know many sick people have courage, strength and fight for what they want but I feel dead inside
I also feel horrible seeing so many people needing help on my city and me without any money to contribute, it breaks my heart and make me feel so disappointed at myself, I don't deserve my life.
I'm sorry mom for disappointing you so much but I also feel this way about myself

But I also don't want to take the motivation from anyone, so if someone read this please don't relate to what I said, believe on yourself and don't give up, please don't let my words make you feel bad

From what I’ve seen of you. You’re doing such a great job. An amazing soul, and I hope one day you can understand your feelings are valid, but never less than others. I’m sure she appreciates the things you do and would be happy that you are helping people even just by interacting with them. Good luck, and you’re doing great work. You can do volunteer work honestly. I started doing that when I’m not able to donate a lot. You deserve to appreciate life, and breathe just as much as others. @Goldenstar

I usually don’t speak on my issues, but I decided to speak about this. I’ll put it in a spoiler because it’s not actually graphic, but I don’t know how feel people around the topic itself.

Spoiler: Mentions of Suicide Awareness, and Hotline

I started volunteering at a suicide hotline since my work is remote, and so are my classes. I always felt there are people who aren’t in good environments during the pandemic and I never stopped thinking about them. We have the opportunity to also email and so I made a decoy account. There was someone who called me crying, and talked about taking more of their medication than recommended. It felt painful hearing how lost they felt to reach this point. They kept apologizing, and I sat there. I told them even if we never met. I always felt peoples voices can tell so much of their heart, and soul. That I think of ending things, but I think what helps me continue on is that things are gifted to us and we find ways to make them more special. We amplify them. They told me what they like to do, and said drawing. So I recommended we stay on the phone and draw together. And if they want to show me what they’re drawing. They sent an email and said the call really made them feel like they had a friend who cared. And it honestly made me tear up. On the phone when we first called, they went into detail how they felt and wanted today to be their last night. But they just needed someone to listen. It felt like a reflection of how I used to feel, and I hope they knew they helped me too. I even told them they helped me more than they think and that’s why I wanted to take this opportunity y to actually be a person who really cared on this hotline.

We’re meant to be who we’re meant to be. What we are is special. We can heal the vibrancy in the garden, but the flowers are special to us. You’re a wonderful, bright, energetic person, and you don’t need anyone to tear you down and reform you to someone else. People are here for friendships. Not to make us into the ideal vision they want. You’re not someone’s doll. You’re a human with your own wants and needs to be what you idealize yourself as.

I've been observing how you reply people and I must say that apart of very gentle and kind you're very skilled too on the sense of knowing how to choose the right words and effectively comforting people. I actually felt better just for reading how you talk to the others, seeing people being nice make me feel better
And yes I do voluntary work I just know it's not enough, but thank you for reply and suggestion
