Jimin fidgeted nervously with his jacket as he sat waiting for ‘NJ32’ to arrive at the cafe.
He has been talking to him for about 2 months online and they finally decided to meet each other face to face.


The door-bell rings at the front of the cafe, and Jimin sits up to see who it was.

He has arrived.


Jimin studied him as he approached.

He had almond-shaped eyes, full lips, thin but toned body, and lovely grape-purple hair.
He was at least 5’10, which made Jimin a little self-conscious about his own height.
Jimin notices himself staring and shifted his gaze towards the table in front of him.


NJ32 sat down in front of him.
“Hey, are you Jimin? Or JimJam?”


“Y-Yeah…”

He slowly looked up to meet his gaze.


NJ32 smiled at him.
“Cool! I didn’t know if you would show…”



Jimin let out a small chuckle.
“I didn’t even know if you were going to show…”

NJ32 chucked and smiled showing his dimples.

Jimin caught himself staring again.

“Are you shy?”

“Excuse me?”

“Are you a shy person? You keep looking away… Am I that ugly?”

Jimin shook his head.


“NO YOUR NOT— I mean… Yeah… I’m shy… Well, nervous…”


NJ32 smiled at him.
“No need to be nervous… We have been talking for a while, haven’t we?”

Jimin smiled.
“Yeah…”


NJ32 studied Jimin for a moment.
Jimin had bright blonde hair, a rounded squishy face, and his smile made his eyes squint.
NJ32 smiled again.

“You sure like smiling…”

“Yeah, you won’t get anywhere if you don’t live positively.”

“Well, teach me your ways!”

They both laugh and stare at each other for a few minutes.


Jimin clears throat.
“So, am I a disappointment?”

“What do you mean?”

“Where you expecting someone more… Uh…”
Jimin waves hands in the air trying to remember the word.
“More. I guess.”

“No… I bet you were expecting more…”

“No, you are actually more than I expected…”


Jimin thought about what he said and blushes.
“Sorry if that came out weird…”

NJ32 smiles again.
“It’s ok…”



[Jimin and NJ32 talk for hours]



Jimin calmed himself from laughing and sighed.
“So, would you maybe want to go out sometime?”


NJ32 hesitates then sighs.
“Jimin. You are an amazing person, with a bright personality… But you just aren’t someone I would want to go out with… Sorry.”


Jimin plastered on a smile.
“Yeah, it’s fine… I have to go anyways.”

He failed to hide the disappointment in his voice.

They both stood and Jimin immediately felt small and scared.
NJ32 leaned forward and hugged him.


“You’ll find someone better for you later on…”

NJ32 pulled back and planted a kiss on Jimin’s head.
“I’ll keep in touch… You know where to find me…”

NJ32 turned and started for the exit.

“Wait!”

NJ32 turned back again.
“Yeah?”

“What’s your name? Your real one… I forgot to ask…”

NJ32 smiles.
“Namjoon.”

He turned and walked out of the cafe.


Jimin stood there for a few minutes trying to process what just happened.
After being told by the manager they were closing, he started walking for home.
Jimin kept walking, not paying attention to anything around him.

He got hit.



Jimin died the next morning…
