IZ one have proven to be physical monsters but OTR seems to have staked Fromis_9 on the cuter/fun/happy side and does not want IZ to intersect.
Weird since fromis is much older than IZ one.

It seems the concepts/ music are flipped.

Yeah that's the conclusion I came to as well. OTR is probably not making IZ*ONE go the cute side because they don't want them to clash or steal Fromis_9 fans.

IZ one has to go after the Twice demo its what they built the dang group for, this is a waste of a short life span group.
If it were a perma group this would make some sense.

It's weird but I did hear that IZ*ONE has a higher female ratio of fans in Japan. So I'm thinking this could all be to further develop the fanbase there? I mean it's where most of the money is to be made within the short time. For now, OTR doesn't seem interested in making a hit in Korea.

to my Knowledge ALL the kpop girl groups have a higher demo of female fans in Japan.

The j line is just freaked out because they are used to 7-80% males at akb events.

Its like i have always said ... It is Crazy stupid hard to run more than 1 GG at a time and make it work. SM and JYP have done it for a short time and maybe Jyp will do it again with this new group, but that is it in 2 decades of kpop.

it seems from the few male akb fan channels that i watched while trying to dip my toes back in akb, that the guys have little but contempt for kpop groups.

Yup a lot of 48g fans aren't willing to go to KPOP. I wonder how this is gonna affect J-line's popularity when they go back. Hitomi seems better off in KPOP tbh.

Hiichan Does not even really have akb fans to piss off, if otr can find a way to get her some visibility in Korea or Japan.
Graduate as fast as Juri did and come back.
I think Juri is the dead give away that even with what we all complain about in kpop that the life is better somehow. Not in free time thats for sure, but she had a footprint in Japan and just bailed.

I think it has more to do with progress. In 48G, once they graduate, they're effectively done. Coming to Korea gives them more room to develop. Also, like I said, the money. Money is better in Korea, if you make it.

Not sure about Sakura but yeah Nako and Hitomi are better off although it sucks that Nako and Hitomi are barely getting screentime in IZ*ONE.

It's a gamble and at the same time it feeds the passion for Juri IMO. I'm sure she'd rather go and experience new things than to perform the same setlists in the theatre for the whole year. She wasn't gonna get pushed to the center anyway.

I honestly don’t know what otr is thinking.

I do see that both groups fit the songs they have gotten so far but I would die to see Romsae and Seoy do a more mature concept again. Just looking at what they have skoeiin their flaylist so far, and some other covers I am sure that fromis_9 could pull of something more mature, something more r&b - red light or something similar to APink‘s Luv

I think Sakura will graduate once she goes back. Since she's playing around with variety in Korea right now, she might decide to stay. She's even doing well right now. Nako could potentially center HKT when she goes back as there is a currently a void there with Sasshi gone and Harrupi on this forever hiatus. Hiichan is better off signing with OTR and terminating AKB tbh. She could be added to Fromis with Yuri ig.
