that's what i thought too, seeing as pentagon and twice as whole groups have had very few interactions (though there are some superficial commonalities, like 9 members, formed on an mnet show, giant maknae, relatively tiny leader who is not the tiniest in the group and who also happens to be a main vocal) . them both being japanese is certainly a reason for them to have interacted... but knowing that yuto was a trainee at jyp (i didn't know when though, i had to google that), i found it quite likely they knew each other from then on.

hui was also a jyp trainee, he in fact got into jyp through the same audition as nayeon (he placed 1st, nayeon placed 2nd)!
