That's the speculation I've been seeing too. Apparently ENHYPEN's schedule is insane, where it's like... when would he even have time to be able to do a solo while keeping in the group.

But then again, EXO did that with Lay, even actually bringing him back after literally years away while he did solo promos, so IDK. I think BELIFT could have found a solution if they'd really wanted to.

In my opinion I think it wasn't his decision, I feel like the company must of kicked him but in their terms they claim Heeseung made that decision and plus he used Ai for his handwritten letter from what I saw from somewhere (engenes posting it)

Also this was out of no where, Heeseung would of just terminated his contract instead of a unexpected leave. Something about his leave doesn't make sense.

He has stated that he wanted to continue with his members that he claims as his family. I have more to vent but I'll close it from here

so from sources from Weverse jungwon posted that they didn't know that he would leave, but the company told jungwon to take the post down so he did but people already took screenshots of his post and now is posting it everywhere. second, Heeseung sent an English version of his letter to ENGENES about his part from Enhypen and a handwritten letter in Korean to ENGENES. in the Korean letter, it said that the company suggested Heeseung to leave so it wasn't his choice if he wanted to leave or not. third of all, if you compare the handwriting to the letter to ENGENES about parting from Enhypen and the letter to ENGENES on enhypen's 5th anniversary, the handwritings are completely different.

I'm not an Engene, but seeing idols having to leave their groups just because they want to pursue solo activities is sad. Whether it really was his choice to leave or not, hopefully he can be successful as a solo artist

Maybe they are worried about the direction of his solo work is all I can think of but that's something we'd have to wait and see what he releases if it's even remotely something to be concerned about

I agree, that's the only thing I can think of too, but unless his solo direction is controversial (like, idk, wildly misogynistic or something), being very different from the main group is not a bad thing necessarily? Like Chaeyoung in TWICE getting praise for her solo.

When I saw that, I thought that was pretty stupid like why Enhypen and especially Heeseung??

I don't follow HYBE's antics closely enough to know if this specifically is true, but it's been a known tactic that companies will follow in general. Like pushing "dating scandals" onto idols they think can weather the storm to distract from a bigger issue.

Yeah I don't think logically this makes any sense in any way as it seems like the guy had an itch and got told they can amputate his arm

Exactly like they worked their asses off and yet to have Heeseung gone for 'Solo' like it doesn't make sense

It usually spells the beginning of the end and I'm being brutally honest here based on past experiences
one more comeback, at best. I'm not a fan but I'm not an anti either. this is sad news. Hopefully I'm wrong. I wish them longevity nonetheless.
