some people are stupid af, it's ok, you can vent, I get you. I'm sorry you've experience all this discrimination because of the groups you stan.

Same for you. If being an ARMY means having less friends well fine at least the sorting between nice and toxic people is done by advance in our friend circle.

That’s why at the beginning I didn’t want to tell that I am an ARMY but now I don’t care about people wrong assumptions based on nothing but their prejudice. Someone asked me once if I am a success stan and I answer : yes a success stan who is here since 2013 and even though I was there since like 2018 ? This person never talked to me about BTS again whereas we sometimes discuss about Kpop together.

And the fact that ARMYs are labeled as the worst fandom is just stupid. I belong to several fandoms since 8 years and they have all acted toxic at some point. At least with ARMYs and Blinks the toxicity is not hidden because I am not going to say names but I know fandoms who pretend to be chill and you find out later that it’s the toxic part of this fandom who claim that.

One of my friends even stopped to talk to me because : « at some point ARMYs attacks against my group are too much ». And when I told her that her fandom is not acting better with BTS she denied it.

On AKP I made a thread to say that I am an ARMY and after that some people was less friendly with me than before. Suddenly I was not part of their fandom but a person who likes theirs faves at best.

Sorry if I sound rude but I needed to say it for so long now.

right, like last time I checked stanning a kpop group isnt a personality trait, I have online friends who are armys, we talk about kpop, but it's not all we do. we also talk about other things and relate to each other based on other things. if stanning a kpop group really determined how im gonna act based on stereotypes about my fandom then I dont think I would have any friends lmao.

I totally agree with you on the "Chill fandoms" part, all fandoms are toxic, it just depends on how good they are at hiding it from people who aren't apart of their fandom. it also depends on how big the fandoms are, if theyre a small fandom obviously they aren't gonna have as many fans that are bad, if theyre a big fandom theyre obviously gonna have more fans that are bad.

I've quickly learned that people who judge so quickly over you liking a particular group are not worthy of our time, no matter how "cool" they may seem at first. We should judge on personality, actions, virtues, etc. Not because you just happen to be in a particular fandom.

I know that a good chunk of people will that army's are toxic or they're just bandwagon stans, but they completely ignore the mature fans and the fans that have been there with them for years. People either thought I was joining the bandwagon because they became so huge or they thought I was a fake stan because I also stan EXO 🙄 I couldn’t deal with the negativity.
