Forgive me the superlative title.

But I literally just listened to an ELRIS B-side that is my new favorite song of the year. This Is Me.

ELRIS is doing this with B-Sides???

The title isn't even out yet.

But they have my attention.... Yes they do.


I loooove this song. I loooove the MV. Love the dance.

So catchy. The chorus..... And that "Yeah" part just..... Oh it's so good. Addictive.

And the MV.... I was just saying yesterday I wished more groups would do simpler MVs. And here ELRIS has forgone all the pomp and circumstance. All the bells and whistles. And Bigger and bigger and badder and badder and distraction and distraction...

And just dropped the girls in cool outfits on a colorful sound stage and let them do their thing.

Their whole package....

This kind of girl crush..... I like it.

It's cool and has that style but it doesn't go so damn hard.

It's...... God it's refreshing.

It may not save Kpop. But it saved my day.

Awesome I'm so glad you liked it. Honestly I was hoping you would. I got really excited about this one. Single handedly made me interested in ELRIS from here on out.

As I've alluded to in some of my threads and this one,. I'm getting burnt out of some of the current trends taking over girl groups doing girl crush. It's either really epic balls to walls fierceness and We're Badass Queens or it's a more IZONE-esque Elegant Yet Trendy Girl sort of thing. And that just isn't my thing.

For girl crush I like a mix of coolness and attitude but one that's not overbearing and one that's mixed with more fun or subtle cuteness.

This is like that. FX had a lot of that.

And per the MVs, everything tends to be so "produced" anymore. Everyone wants to have the biggest budget. The splashiest and most aesthetic visuals and sets and grandeur. I just find this more simplistic approach more refreshing.


In the MV, Sohee is the center, the tall pretty one that's in the middle at throughout. Hyeseong is in total white outfit. And Bella is the short cropped hair with one sleeve missing. I don't know the rest yet.

Also they are changing styles I think with this Comeback.

They added 2 new members and are doing a reset of sorts.

I think their older image and music was more straight bubblegum pop and cute.

But they're mixing in girl crush and other stuff I think now.

Like I do and No Big Deal are probably going to be my favourites but the whole album seems great from the snippets I've heard
