@PurpleHime You might have noticed that I changed my username. To change it, I wanted to use Nao's nickname. I don't know whether or not you know this; but PassCode's website states her nickname as being 野菜 which according to my Japanese course it means "vegetable" and it's pronounced やさい; but the website lists it as やちい. It strikes me as very odd specially since hiragana "sa" and "chi" are mirror images of each other. Is it possible the website to contain a typo? Or is it true that 野菜 as nickname is pronounced やちい? Do you know anything of this?

I asked on discord and they told me the girls call Nao Yachii-chan; which to me settles it about pronunciation; but the thing about 野菜 is left unclear.

This picked my curiosity and I went to double check on all the possible sounds that may make up her name. I found her name to be 南菜生 on twitter. 南 is pronounced "minami" as in her surname and it means "south"; so I can only guess it's her surname. 菜 (vegetable) is pronounced "na" according to this, and 生 could be pronounced "o" according to this. Thus I gather that she used her real name on her twitter account and it is 南菜生. Thus the 野菜 kanji I guess is not Nao's name actually; but I see the reason to get that as nickname. 菜 as "na" means "vegetable", thus choosing 野菜 for a nickname. Yet that still doesn't explain why it is pronounced "Yachii".

Their website also stated her name to be 南 菜生, and 野菜 is where it lists her nickname. I guess I have to accept 野菜 to be pronounced "Yachii" here by sheer faith. 😆
