America can't even keep people in quarantine. How many people are getting exposed just cause people refuse to stop their lives to avoid infecting others. That includes two airheaded congressmen who feel they don't need to go into quarantine because they feel no symptoms. One having been seen shaking hands with a corono positive patient (who escaped quarantine to go to a confrence). And no, depsite being incontact with both congressmen Trump will not get tested because, again, he has no symptoms so he feels he's safe.

I wonder if US has legal discouragement towards people to not break quarantine. In my country if you are put into quarantine breaking that quarantine is crime and you can get fined or even jail time over it. Probably punishment won't be hard, but at least people are strongly discouraged ^^;.

It seems my country has really ranked up measures too. There used to be just couple epidemic areas where you were discouraged to travel, but now all travel outside of country is discouraged (but not banned). That's sth at least.

At the end of the day the thing is only as bad as it was in China ie sub 3 % mortality rate. (unless the Chinese are lying their asses off)

I read that one contributor to the mortality rate in China is the fact that a lot of Chinese men over 60 are smokers. So that's another reason why the mortality rate in other areas can be expected to be lower.

they did not empty the building or call the game off.

just in the us 42 million had it last year.
To date there are less than 150k cv 19 cases globally.
That number is horribly under counted because most people who got it thought not much of it. But even still 100's of millions get the flu annually.
Call it one order of magnitude off in reporting atm. btw just that change that drops the mortality rate to flu levels.
