The question in my mind is this: If you had to pick a Kpop girl group to sing metal, which group would you pick?

Red Velvet's voices are really meant for R&B. They're versatile but probably not the best for metal.

I have the same problem with Dreamcatcher. They have good Kpop voices, but none of the growl or raspiness needed for metal. I like their songs, the arrangements are good, but you could switch Gfriend vocals in there and be OK.

How about BlackPink, especially Rose in her lower registers? Wouldn't she be good?

The only other groups I can think of that might work are (a) an SNSD subunit consisting of Hyoyeon and Tiffany or (b) ITZY.

What about AOA? I think visually they would slay as metal chicks. But I dont know about vocally.

There may be some correlation. Some [many] depending on the sub-genre, metal musicians are classically trained vocalists and I believe that k-pop singers are trained vocally as well...

Honestly though, you're lucky the digressions didn't go further... There could have been mentions of piss christ, which I don't think was all that subversive...
