Yes atm people can get by making quite low effort threads, but any "quality" control beyond counting out spam could very quickly start to discourage people from participating at all.

I think this is a very good point that I didn't think of before as well

I get that you want more effort and think it's unfair that those that don't put much in get the same reward... But most people don't have the time to make big creative threads and just want to share a video with fans and hopefully engage in convo that way. Doesn't really need to be more than that as it's content people enjoy.

Yes as long as the thread has a purpose and people enjoy it and/or creates discussion then it doesn't need to be anything too fancy or anything

It's fine! I mean shit happens and I know all too well how it can feel being new on a forum and not a part of the "in crowd"

Oh no I don't feel disrespected. It's just that people sometimes don't really understand how hard this job can be sometimes

I came late to the party because I just sleep like a granny. I´m so sorry. I have nothing to contribute after 4 pages, but staying silent after being tagged I just have to chip in.
I like SHlNee´s idea a lot because I think the fact that people could be rewarded for an effort of googling, creating something that had not been done before is just awesome. I feel like people are a bit afraid of losing their daily doze of cards, because "what if I don´t come up with a good idea" and will not get two cards? well, then you won´t have two cards but one? Also, the fact that staff has to check the threads manually .... aren´t they supposed to be doing that with or without cards? :D (or is it just when I post a duplicate? well, someone allows people posting "what is your favourite ice cream flavour every week" so ... probably.. )
but I understand how much work it would be. on the other hand, I feel like ... people should be rewarded for keeping the artists´ threads alive, for digging the newest videos and maybe keeping it more kpop related and I know I´m not the one who keeps it kpop related but that´s what I´m rewarded for so I´ve joined the bandwagon.
so maybe changing some rules would be really great. like at least one of three threads have to be kpop related? nono?

Anyway I agree with keeping things as they are for now, I've talked to Cards team members before and have seen how stuffed with work they can get. I do think people making more effort should be rewarded, but maybe we can do that by giving a card out for certain milestones which we can decide later, rather than incorporating it into daily quests, which would make it a lot more challenging and frustrating for a lot of people. This way, some few users could still get 1-2 extra cards once or twice instead of the team having to manually check everything on a daily basis

At the end of the day, cards is supposed to be fun, not a competition.

Well in some cases it's easy coz I'd been to the earlier thread before and saw yours later in the same day lol.
But if it were just about the same topic and worded differently, it'd be very difficult to catch

The milestone thing is a great idea. For example, every 1000 messages.

That in itself will encourage activity as people will want to reach milestones, not just for badges, but cards too.
