It is. It's apart of the constitution most private businesses have a right to refuse services to people which I don't disagree with tbh but I don't necessarily agree with how people wield it either but freedom does come at a cost tbh.

Edited: To private businesses because I believe they are at least allowed this.

Even simple things like general, informative sexual education in schools and ready, affordable access to birth control will drastically bring down birth rates in some areas, as well as increase the standard of living of poor, predominantly minority lead regions. AKA the real reason Conservatives want to defund Planned Parenthood and ban women's clinics so badly.


Maybe economic benefits like tax credits or stipends for people with kids would bring up birth rates in a healthy way? I'm not completely sure but I've heard many countries except the USA already do something to that extent

That's what Japan is doing I'm pretty sure. I'm not sure if it's working though.

Is this like in the parameters of adopting outside of the country? Because I know some countries a hundred percent would not be ok adopting out a child to a couple that isn't straight.

A lot of southern states do provide liberties for religious organizations to deny access, but there still are plenty of states that don't.

first of all i believe that abortion should be a choice every woman is allowed to have. of course they shouldn't be forced to do it, but they should have a right to. sadly my country doesn't agree with me and the government here banned abortions even if you know that the child will not survive after the labour. which is why i hate poland. here instead of decreasing the population, the government does all they can to increase it because at the moment every family with children gets paid 500 pln (polish currency) monthly for every child they have. it was said to be a way to support families, but it does none of that because after that was introduced the prices of everything went up. lots of people don't even use that money on their children, i've lost count of how many times i've seen people spend it on things like alcohol while their children are neglected. i feel like this post is turning into a rant about how much i hate poland so going back to the question, i genuinely can't think of a way to control a country's population that wouldn't be considered inhumane.

I think it'd be great to start having like a exam for adults who want to become parents to see if they actually fit being a parent, there are too many bad parents. Helps kids not grow up in abusive households etc., seems like the most humane and first easy step of population control

But what about accidental pregnancies?

Also what about in rural areas, illiteracy and lack of birth control is really common there. Plus, unfortunately a lot of abusive parents can easily lie on tests.

Accidental as in condom broke or r**e pregnancies? I think for both it's up to the women themselves if they want to get it or not and with either decision they should get a good support system to help them out as good as possible but if they don't manage to take care of their babies well enough (due to various reasons) as harsh as it sounds take the baby to another family but obviously still allow the mother to visit it as much as she wants just until she gets her life down maybe to support her own life and her babies, but I don't wanna be one of those guys that decides what happens to a woman's body and her own baby so obviously this all depends if it's agreed/voted on by like even 100% of women.

As for in rural areas where birth control should be able available to everyone those rich politicians need to grab their freaking balls and make that stuff free to get for everyone, just like it should be for tampons etc. which is basic hygiene and should be available to all women no matter how poor they are.

And for the abusive parents lying, their actions don't lie, kids do have marks on their bodies if they are physically abused and I think even mentally it would be easier to recognize a kid that has been mentally abused for years and a kid that fortunately never had to go through anything that awful. You'd have to send people in to regularly check the households etc.

I see what you're saying. I was referring to broken contraceptives.

Even so, I don't think a parental test would be efficient since pregnancies can happen in so many ways. And if a woman is already pregnant there's nothing you can actually do about it. I think maybe required parental classes would be really nice but that still wouldn't reduce population growth.

I like your ideas of checking in on children often and making birth control more accessible. I think not allowing people with a bad history to take care of kids would also reduce population growth.
