This reminds me of todayWhat's your indicator that someone isn't worth arguing with?
Did I make this just to rant about my sister? Absolutely.
For me, it's when someone says "okay" to shut you up. It's immature and shows that they are too immature to handle anyone disagreeing with them or it shows that they are unable to properly communicate that they are not in the mindset to continue the argument. My sister used to do this a lot until I started laughing every time she did it bc it IS funny tbh. It's also extremely rude lol. I would laugh because it was funny how immature someone can be, it kind of reminds me of a child. I always love poking those people with a stick during arguments because those are the people that tend to get aggressive really quickly (ahem my sister). I actually used to do this when I was like 10 and then I realized that it isn't effective and all it does is make people dislike you. Surprise Mayah, being rude in an argument isn't the way to go about things :O. This was when we were younger but I still feel this way about people irl.
Another big one for me is when someone turns a debate/disagreement into an argument. The moment they start hurling insults or start saying that "you don't know what you're talking about" is when I back off. If you're being aggressive out of nowhere you are too immature to have a disagreement and you aren't worth my time. Honestly using this to avoid continuing conflicts with people helped my life a lot because I no longer argue with people that aren't capable of doing so without attacking me. I again usually just giggle to myself because it's kinda funny how worked up people get. Now this one isn't based off of my sister but a lot of my irls. They start attacking your character when you disagree with them on politics or something. "Oh, you don't support xxx? So basically you're a tyrant that wants millions of people to die?" like bro no???
Trust me guys, the moment you start ignoring conflicts with people like that, your life gets x10 better.
stream resonate 💯
goodluckily most things arent green in space so you can try plan b
I thankfully haven't lost any friends due to political differences but I also try to respect people's boundaries and if they express a view that opposes mine I won't suddenly throw out at them well I don't agree with that-LETS TALK ABOUT IT.I'm wondering the the last one happens often to you due to your views on some political issues?
And kinda weird, but I looked up the science of screaming when we're angry and apparently it's to show dominance.
Anyone who sees an argument as an alpha vs beta thing is straight garbage.
Same though...definitely have a hard time with confrontation but I'm learning to get better with it.I wanna second this, as a kid when i got into an argument with my dad he'd scream at us so that's why i have crippling fear of confrontation![]()
kids are cruel in general but for the adult in the situation (the lady in the car) not to discipline them is really...something. people who are in the middle of the road really need to learn how rude it is.This reminds me of today
Cycling on a road, ahead i see a car with an older female and kids inside the car on the side of the road.
Next to the car are standing some kids talking to her whilst bocking the way for anyone else to pass on a bike or a car
They see me coming
No one moving so i can pass
Ringing my bell just so they then finally move whilst i almost run them over as they responded way too slow cause they were too focused on the car chat, not giving a fuck they were blocking the road
I Told them whilst passing : you are in the middle of the road?!!!!
And they fkin laughed like...... Sure
Kids laugh a lot at a bunch of different things BUT this i found ridiculous, immature and rude of them
To not give a fak they blocking the road and then laugh like they did nothing wrong when someone tells them
Traffic is a serious subject and its like no one cared
Not even the older female in the car
If i were her i would of told them to get on the sidewalk if they wanted to speak with me
Ugh![]()
Like I've said to you earlier, I really genuinely don't care about anyone's political beliefs as long as they aren't attacking anyone or as long as they don't stem from misogyny, racism, homophobia, etc. I don't tend to have a lot of friends that are not aligned to my political beliefs but that's simply because most of the people around me are of the same values. I'm definitely willing to discuss political differences as LONG as the other person isn't aggressive.I thankfully haven't lost any friends due to political differences but I also try to respect people's boundaries and if they express a view that opposes mine I won't suddenly throw out at them well I don't agree with that-LETS TALK ABOUT IT.
Unless I know for a fact that the person won't get offended or upset OR if I've had a history of talking with them and the conversations being very level-headed and nice. Without any hostility. I know I talked to someone on here in DM's once about subject matter that was a bit heated but I think we both were somewhat respectful and I don't have any ill will towards them at all.
I know I also am comfortable talking about politics with users like @Vikki and @Panda because I know even if we disagree they know who I am as a person and the conversations never get out of hand.
But I do know other people who have had the displeasure of losing friends over political differences.
Oh well you said itkids are cruel in general but for the adult in the situation (the lady in the car) not to discipline them is really...something. people who are in the middle of the road really need to learn how rude it is.
People like that are so selfish. It's the same people that will cut off you when you're changing lanes and then honk at you like bro whatOh well you said it
Kids are![]()
And i know right, like bitch wtf you doin
The fkd up thing is though
I bet if an accident would of happened
They would of blamed it all on me
Always like that

I have a mix of friends who are on different ends of the political spectrum but I do think the main reason we can get along is that we still have the same beliefs at our core.Like I've said to you earlier, I really genuinely don't care about anyone's political beliefs as long as they aren't attacking anyone or as long as they don't stem from misogyny, racism, homophobia, etc. I don't tend to have a lot of friends that are not aligned to my political beliefs but that's simply because most of the people around me are of the same values. Which is what politics was SUPPOSED to be. To make America a better place. Now it's just who's right and who's wrong.I have a mix of friends who are on different ends of the political spectrum but I do think the main reason we can get along is that we still have the same beliefs at our core.
America done fucked up per usual.Which is what politics was SUPPOSED to be. To make America a better place. Now it's just who's right and who's wrong.![]()
I have the tendency to walk out if I feel I'm getting too frustrated and irrational. So it's not to be childish it's to calm down and think logically and not overreact if the argument is getting heated that is....Mine is when one of two things occur: (1) Talking about politics and the other person starts screaming because you don't agree; (2) The other person walks out of the room. Its very passive-aggressive and really annoys me.
Not to say it's easy to do by any means, but it might be better to say why you're walking out so it doesn't seem like you're just storming off.I have the tendency to walk out if I feel I'm getting too frustrated and irrational. I tend to interrupt people a lot on accident (not only in arguments, just in general) and it makes me feel so badBeing interrupted and being talked over
I hate arguments in general though
Yeah I do it on accident too dw but in an argument it's the worst if they just keep talking and you're likeI tend to interrupt people a lot on accident (not only in arguments, just in general) and it makes me feel so bad
esp bc its one of my pet peeves.
I think it's obvious when they're doing it to assert dominance vs when they do it bc theyre just really hyperactiveYeah I do it on accident too dw but in an argument it's the worst if they just keep talking and you're like![]()
true it depends on who i'm arguing with bc usually it has to be someone i kind of know otherwise i just let it go LOLI think it's obvious when they're doing it to assert dominance vs when they do it bc theyre just really hyperactive![]()
Oh I know I'm trying to work on that-my boyfriend and I have had talks about it in depth because it stresses him out when I do it. When that isn't my intent. Not to say it's easy to do by any means, but it might be better to say why you're walking out so it doesn't seem like you're just storming off.
