I don't even think I need to answer this question tbh. I can think of at least 15 offensive things that NCT has done

Day6 as a whole haven't done many offensive things, though Jae has a few. RV has a couple too.

According to my calculations, the average NCT member is pretty ignorant.

first of all i don't think there is anyone who can be considered fully "unproblematic". i don't think loona or wonder girls have done anything seriously offensive, i know mamamoo have and they apologised for it (though i'm not a part of the communities offended by what they did so it's not up to me to tell anyone that they should accept the apology).

thats true, i cant think of a single artist who hasn't something unoffensive. Maybe like Sunmi and that's it.

I feel like the only NCT members that hasn't done something problematic is Johnny, Mark, Renjun, the new members, Jungwoo, Taeil, Kun, and YY. and Ten. Everyone else has either said something colorist, or done cultural appropriation. Or...lipsynced the n word.

agree, stuff like mv sets, hairstyles, concepts,.. are usually way out of the groups' control and while it's nice to see fans speak out, its unfortunate that most of the anger is usually directed towards the idols themselves. idk about the islamic shirt situation but even if he himself decided to wear it.. honestly people still ask me what ramadan is and if i have to wear my hijab when i sleep so its like ?? people are more ignorant than we think, and thats okay as long as theyre willing to learn and grow; its so frustrating how people will burn each other on the stake over small mistakes and oversights. i like to give people the benefit of the doubt when it comes to stuff like this, but companies... you'd think they'd know better when they get called out for the same shit every other week

the shirt was pretty offensive and i was pretty disgusted by it but like..im not gonna go out and say that they're islamophobic bc its kinda obvious that they had no idea. yes they should have researched and they promised not to make it a big deal so i was okay with it. whats not okay is what yg did with that one hindu god shrine where they just deleted it from the mv and didnt apologize.

tbh they probably thought it was just some arabic writing. which, in any case, should be RESEARCHED. you'd think these rich compaies would be smart enough to know that.

i think jihyo has only really had 2 problematic situations but other than that i dont think the other members have so yeah i agree

But at times I've noticed with GG that media and fans blow things out of proportion.. Like I'm not really well versed on SNSD [perhaps @Drew_B @RandAlThor @uwuWinter can clarify], but was there any validity to the claim that Jessica and Taeyeon hate/d each other?

I think its fair to say that over the decade and change they were together there were times they were not best buddies.
But there were also times when they were.
