China has a fairly hard line on sex crimes if i remember correctly. The government itself could shut him down.

I heard they are really hard on drugs too (T.O.P got edited out of some Big Bang art gallery thing) so it's not surprising. I wasn't just sure of the response there, haven't really seen anything from Chinese and Japanese perspectives.

Also in the Kako talks are the members speaking of using or wanting to obtain date rape drugs. In some of the videos the women appear intoxicated or drugged. The video I linked earlier shows the information about the date rape drugs. Seungri hasn't been charged or suspected of rape but I don't know if the laws if he is charged in being complicit or not reporting.

Also because Seungri is entering the military on the 25th, this will be handed over to the military courts where the press will have less access.

Well what Seungri was allegedly doing in Korea with prostitution is legal in China, I think so I'm guessing it's not as big of a deal for them.

Military courts in Korea is known to be highly corrupted and shameless. They've been paid off many times before. I do hope they restrict him from going to the Army or, at least finish the investigation before that.

I don't think i have read about that yet. If there is rapes and date drugs that's yet another crime to add to the list coming from the Katalks. I'm not sure about accomplice thing if he has simply reacted to post instead of being part of the hidden cameras, date drugs or rapes in some way. If he was physically in the place they happened I think he might be charged as complicit, but probably not for reporting. But then that's more based on my country's justice system ( there has been literal murders people are confessed to their friends and although media has been all over the crime and police searching the culprit the friends haven't gotten charged or accused of anything even if they kept their mouths shut).

Wow it is? That was not my understanding, since they even go nuts over porn.
And they seem to be cracking down on Rich / artists, that deal with the actress was clearly a high profile message.

Well it really depends on how your word it. "Prostitution" is illegal in mainland China but "erotic massages" aren't. It's complicated xD

That actually makes sense as Korea use to be a military dictatorship.

Even though there has been speculation (mainly online) that he bumped up his military service, he was probably headed there sometime this spring anyway. I don't know if he can be deemed unfit for service if he is official charged as a criminal.

Well i have read there seems to be a illegal business of acquiring young wives (aka kidnapped and sold) from SEA countries to help with the massive female shortage. That has to have some at least some semi official sanction.

Truthfully i am a still low key waiting for a shooting war to cull a chunk of those males. Historical patters lean heavily to that method of population control, baring the large purges that Stalin and Mao engaged in for entirely different reasons. The Problem with a war is that those would appear to be pragmatic folks and they would need clear objectives and a way to spin it so the entire world did not come down on them. That's kinda hard.

A lot of this reminded me of the stuff I read after the sewol ferry accident. So much cover ups by the government, companies, etc.

I was getting the impression this was a bigger than Seungri thing its just kpop fans focused on him.

Yeah Seungri is just a pawn or at best, a fringe player. What I'm curious to see is whether the investigation and public interest in the case wanes once he's officially convicted, or remains until more higher ups are exposed.

I hope hes not used for just sacrificial lamb for others who have been part and committing crimes. He ll answer on whatever his are, but i hope all people involved on hidden cams, sexual assaults etc get revealed too so they cant just continue.

I had to take a few days off cuz I had a huge assignment due in like 3 evenings, so I didn't want any distraction
