To be fair, they all have so much money invested in the company, they’d probably lose money by leaving. Not to mention all of the dirt the company probably has on them that they’ve covered up over the years if they left now, they’d probably end up like Hyolyn... If we really stop and think about it, Big Bang doesn't have the motive to leave YG that the rest do.
Their reputation isn't gonna be saved by it because a majority of the scandals that tanked YG's rep were caused by them

T.O.P's initial comment was kinda sarcastic as a reply to some fan. But few days later, in his Insta live he said he's done promoting in Korea. But he didn't really look to be in a healthy state of mind when he said that, I'm actually scared for him.

Yeah he really doesn't seem to be in a good place. I saw bits of that live and it was concerning.
Even that temporary pause on hating on celebrities wasn't applied to him because '"criminals don't count"

Tbh, this is really good news for Big Bang and VIPs. If they didn't renew it would pretty much mean disbandment of Big Bang and solo activities for those that were able to continue them, Taeyang and maybe GD. Now they have best chance of doing music together as well as continue with their solo stuff like they have so far.

Like @Ozymandias said T.O.P's first comment was sarcastic and knetz as well as media misinterpret it and spread it. The second is more concerning, but thinking of Daesung who didn't do anything in Korea for years over hate he got over the car accident- that doesn't mean T.O.P can't still do music. He might not just appear in Korea's music shows anymore, but BB might have hard time to do that anyways. That's how I took it, he's not interested of being Korea's idol anymore and trying to please plp who will never forgive him.
