I assume BTS got some inside informations about that the new category is made specifically for them to win in this year, but they can't win Album Of The Year, no matter what. That's why they decided to stay away from the whole show.

Not an army and i haven't heard their new album but i think i heard their album is fully in english so how can that category have been made for them to win if one of the rules is that the song(s) they are promoting must be entirely in one or more Asian languages?!

Does their album have korean songs? But even if they have some, i still don't think they can be submited if the song they was promoting is fully in eng. For them to be eligible for that category they needed to be promoting a song in korean.

Said so i wouldn't thinking this category would have been as bad if the same act could be eligible in multi categories including the main ones (eg: X act is promoting a song in an asian language so that song will be eligible for the Asian pop music performance Category and another song fully in english and will be eligible for Song/Record Of The Year Category. The album of the X even if it have a mix of languages on it still can be eligible for the Album Of The Year Category)

Right message, wrong messenger imo. Bts wanted a grammy so badly years ago so its weird how they're backtracking, happy they've grown though

What you “heard” is not true, because their album is not fully in English. Only 3 songs, ‘Swim’, ‘Normal’ and ‘Like Animals’ have full English lyrics. Other songs have Korean parts in them. Plus, ‘No. 29’ is an almost 2 minutes long instrumental interlude playing the fading resonance of South Korea's National Treasure No. 29, the Sacred Bell of Great King Seongdeok. There are 14 tracks in the album.
We could argue if it’s Korean enough or not, but I don’t see a point in this.

Which one? They promoted more songs. (Or we could say the full album.) 4 songs have MVs - 2 of them with English lyrics.

Yeah, agree with this. It would be better if they specified the criteria for what can and cannot be included in a given category.
